Hardbound in dustwrapper, 458 pages. The monumental study of the South African Post Offices and Postal Agencies. In large format and printed on glossy paper, this first volume starts with an historical introduction followed by the postal history of South Africa, Natal, Orange Free State, Transvaal, Basutoland, Bechuanaland and Swaziland. In the second part the Post Offices and Postal Agencies from Aalwysfontein till Ezulwini (Letters A-E) are described in greatest detail. A splenid publication, including many (historical) illustrations and detailed maps. In fine condition (slight wear to the dustwrapper).
