The 1s.11/2d. per 1/2oz. general foreign rate was introduced on Apr. 1 1877 but due to the unavailability of 1/2d. stamps until 1884 this was rounded upward to 1s.2d. for single rate, the double rate charged correctly as 2s.3d.
