BRISTOL/ST. KITTS - VERY FINE LATE USE SANS-SERIF "BRISTOL/SHIP-LETTER" ON KEVII PPC WITH GB 1d; Fine 19 Feb. 1905 PPC (St. Kitts view of communal fishing on beach) to Carlisle with GB KEVII 1d Red (folded up when cancelled and so with part c.d.s. on reverse; now folded back down) tied by a 2-ring 13 Mar. "BRISTOL" cds with a near superb strike of the rare last-type "BRISTOL/SHIP-LETTER" alongside (Rob.S12; used 1859-66 and then used very sporadically from 1905-13 with one 1930 example reported). Carried by the Elder Dempster's S.S. 'Port Kingston' from Kingston (Jamaica) to Avonmouth.
