RARE BISHOPSBRIGS TYPE XX ON COVER - 21 July 1855 EL (though apparently not posted till 27th, crease) to Edin. franked with C4 1d red tied by rare 'G' rated BISHOPSBRIGS type XX Scots cancel with GLASGOW and Edinburgh cds on the back. Plus a group of other Scots locals on stamps or piece inc. OLLABERRY early (type I) cancelling 1841 1d red and another on the flap of large 1853 piece, plus type VIII on single stamps (2, rated 'G'); and PORT DUNDAS type XX on stamp ('G'). Good group.
