ROYAL HOUSEHOLD MAIL, 1900-2000: Large binder housing the well described collection of c.60 cards & covers associated with the various British Royal Family Households. Includes a range of Royal Cypher cachets from KEVII onwards inc. the scarce KEVIII square cachet, a range of KEVII to QEII cancels on mail from Buckingham Palace, Sandringham, Balmoral, Windsor Castle, Kensington Palace, Osborne, Badminton (Queen Mary's WWII residence) etc. Also of note, the very short lived "Abergeldie Castle" postmark of 20 Aug. 1955 (a skeleton handstamp produced and used for a few hours only). Collection also includes Royal Household Departmental cachets, e.g. Lord Chamberlain, Central Chancery, Ascot Office, Purse Bearer, Lord Steward, Privy Purse, Master of the Horse, etc. Also Royal Yacht mail, Royal Trains, Royal Tours abroad, Delhi Durbar, etc. Additionally a bundle of 40 cards & covers not included in the main display.
