Rare. [The inclusion of the 2/6d in green is consistent with Basset Hull's statement at page 158 that this was the only colour in which the 2/6d was printed, and that there was no 2/- in this colour. Bernie Manning's similar very fine set - none with the imprint - sold for $4194. Unlisted in Gibbons and not mentioned by Ken Scudder. Offered 'as is'. [The stamp is certainly large enough that, if it had been perforated, there would almost certainly be evidence of perforations. It may have come from imperforate stock SG 187a but, again, there is no record of the imperf stamps having been used at Gunalda]

image 1895-96 Second Sidefaces White Background Small Crown/Q (W6) Watermark Perf 12½,13 ½d deep green as SG 209 but Printed Double, a few faults, indistinct (parcel?) cancel. The doubling is most evident along the back of the Queen's head with a clear second impression 1mm to the right. Ex Gary Diffen. This variety was known to collectors in the 1920s, and there is an example in the Sir William Dixon Collection donated to the New South Wales State Library. Gibbons list the ½d green Printed Double as SG 208a, Cat £2000, but do not list the deep green shade with this variety. RPSV Certificate (2005) as SG 208a.
