[Named after Prime Minister John Christian ('Chris') Watson, our only PM born in Chile (!), grew up in New Zealand, was active & was successful in union matters in NSW where he was instrumental in bringing unity to a divided Labor Party (yes, even back then they couldn't spell). A supporter of Federation, he was elected to the first Commonwealth Parliament & was elected by his fellows as head of the Federal Labor Party. On 27.4.1904 he became our third PM, and the first from the Left. He held the office for a mere 113 days]
