1915 (Nov 7) cover with red/white perforated 'On Active Service/NO STAMPS/AVAILABLE' label cancelled with 1st Light Horse cds & tied by Geelong arrival, British-pattern No 2240 censor cachet in violet, redirected with scarce 'CARLSRUHE RLY STN' arrival b/s, non-contemporary endorsement on flap "written from Chalak Dere Gallipoli.../Norman Belcher". The label has not previously been seen by us & is believed to be unique! [Lieut Edward Norman Belcher returned to Australia in mid-1916]
