QV-KGV ACCUMULATION 1841-1937: A small box containing an assortment of used & unused envs., postcards, reply cards, and some wrappers. QV used (95) & unused (125) inc. 3 small 1d envs. (EP3a - with silk threads - EP3b & EP4, faults) cancelled with black MCs (backstamped 1841 & 1843); unused inc. light blue 2d env. EP6db & brown 1d postcard CP15a both overprinted "SPECIMEN", and two CP26 1890 Guildhall Penny Postage Jubilee postcards. KEVII used (45) & unused (25) inc. a hand drawn & coloured comical scene entitled "THE FIRST WASHING DAY" (not posted). KGV used (75) inc. a ½d wrapper front uprated with a blue 2½d stamp postmarked 27 OC 1917 addressed to "2/a.m. W.H.W Tooze/26 Kite Balloon Sec./R.F.C./British Salonika [sic] Forces" (Air Mechanic 2nd Class William Harold Tooze 49398 died 11/11/1917 and may never have received this packet?), and unused (25) inc. QV-MAINLY KEVII & KGV COLLECTION ON PAGES: A box containing a 1870s-1930s unused & used study, some written-up, inc. wrappers (89), envelopes (82), lettercards (10), and postcards (10, 8 KGVI), inc. a KEVII 1902 lettercard addressed to the Chief Steward of Windsor Castle using a miniature photograph of the castle (attached with small brass paper fasteners); a 1d red KGV unused env. ovptd. "SPECIMEN"; and a 2½p pink unused (but addressed) QEII env. ovptd. "SCHOOL/SPECIMEN" for use at the Post Office Training School.
