image MISSIONARY COVERS: 1943 & 1944 inward censor covers from Wahroonga to Seventh-Day Adventist Frederick Percival Ward who was performing missionary work on the island between 1938 and 1944, the earlier cover posted '15JA43' with New Zealand censor handstamp and 'PITCAIRN ISLAND/23MAR/43' arrival datestamp, the latter posted '6OC43' with Seventh-Day Adventists (Wahroonga) imprint, Sydney censor handstamp & tape, the cover arriving some 5 months later with 'PITCAIRN ISLAND/16MAR/44' arrival datestamp.
