Reverse with "SHIP LETTER / SYDNEY" despatch cds (May 31), thence via London where struck with framed "COLONIES / &c. ART.13" in red and Calais (Oct 27), where British Ship Letter charge of '8' (pence) was overstruck with '15' décimes handstamp due for a single letter, this reaffirmed in manuscript.
