image 1944 Community Centre for Further Education, Feilding envelope airmail to England with Pictorials 6d Harvester, 1/- Parson Bird & 2/- Captain Cook tied 'FEILDING/-4FE44/N.Z' cds paying 3/6d rate for carriage by ship to Panama and onwards by PanAm to USA and FAM-18 Atlantic Clipper to UK, censored with 'OPENED BY EXAMINER/D.D.A./187' resealing label, re-directed on arrival with 'CHISWICK/18MAR/1944' b/s, a couple of very minor blemishes. [The regular rate by ship to San Francisco and onwards by airmail was 2/6d per ½oz and often took two months to arrive; the extra 1/- for airmail from Panama offered considerably faster transmission]

The NZ Post Office made the same error twice on this form: "...for posting...to oversea addresses".
