1870 (Mar 13) large piece of cover with astonishing franking Mauritius 1863-72 4d rose pair in combination with France 1867 20c blue (4) tied by 'B64' Seychelles obliterator, with Seychelles cds alongside, unique combination. Evidently the British authorities objected that a French official was acting as a post officer and such practise was terminated the same year by the British authorities. (Image)

1872 (Oct 22) Envelope with embossed crest of 'Government House, Seychelles' to New Bedford, USA, franked at 1s rate with Mauritius 1863-72 6d blue-green horizontal pair, tied by light 'B64' numerals, '11d' credit mark in red crayon, London (13 Nov) and New York (Dec 7) and '2/CENTS' hs all in red alongside.
