1852 Part folded mourning letter sent from Marseilles to PENANG 'Per Steamer via Suez & Ceylon' (endorsed in m/s), franked by French Napoleon 10c., 40c. and two singles of 80c. all imperf, tied by small numeral "1896", with blue sender oval and Marseilles despach c.d.s. alongside, part of letter missing and adhesives cut uneven but still an attractive & scarce franking on a scarce letter to Straits Settlements.
