1930, registered airmail cover from Kuching to Miri by "R.A.F. Flying Boat No. 1419", franked 1928/29 10 C., 20 C. tied "KUCHING 29 MAY 30" c.d.s., air label with entered R-number alongside, "MIRI 30 MAY 1930" arrival on reverse. Signed B. B. Joffe.
Note: After an coastal survey flight, on May 30th the two flying boats flew from Kuching to Miri, calling at Sibu en-route. 26 registered and 110 ordinary letters were carried. An airmail fee of 10 cents per ½ ounce was due additional to normal postage. (Image)
