1840-1900 (approx.), high-quality, specialized collection Old Britain starting from nine values Penny Black, twice 2 Pence blue, embossed issues No. 10-12, the 5-Shilling value from 1867 as well as from 1883 the 2 / 6d, 5 / - and 1 £ green. The collection impresses with its high stamp and cancel quality, the main value is in the very numerous expensive plate numbers, which are represented by multiple, an Eldorado for the plate collector. In the attachment a collection Red Plates on cardboard of the plate numbers 71-224, without the plates 77 and 225, the catalog value is according to consignor 51.061 £, listing attached. ÷ 1840-1900 (ca.), hochwertige, spezialisierte Sammlung Alt-Großbritannien ab neun Werten Penny Black, zweimal 2 Pence blau, Prägedrucke Nr. 10-12, der 5-Shilling-Wert von 1867 sowie von 1883 die 2/6d, 5/- und 1 £ grün. Die Sammlung besticht durch ihre hohe Stempel- und Markenqualität, der Hauptwert liegt in den sehr zahlreichen teuren Plattennummern, die of mehrfach vertreten sind, ein Eldorado für den Plattensammler. (1840-1880). The Line-Engraved Postage Stamps of Great Britain printed by Perkins Bacon & Co. Two volumes of this 1920 classic written by E.D.Bacon. With the fifteen original collotype plates. In its original paperback binding. Plus the much sought after 1929 Supplement also published by Chas.Nissen & Co. Some (water) stains in bindig aerea not affecting the text and the plates, some small tears in margin only in some pages of Vol.II, all three volumes otherwise in good condition, still un-cut as delivered from the printers.
