image RARE/SCARCE GROUP OF LOW NUMBER LONDON DISTRICT NUMERALS ON COVERS/STAMPS ETC - covers inc. scarce A-type "38" on env. to Chelsea (poor strike); rare H-rated E-type "25" tying 1d lilac on 1891 2d blue reg. env. to Strand and on undated ½d vermilion env. to Penge, "54" on ½d brown wrapper uprated with 3d jubilee to Bonn, plus "60" on undated ½d brown wrapper to Manchester. Stamps (mostly perf 1d reds plus some surface-printed) and cut-out good range inc. rare H-rated Dubus type 1 "7", "8", "17" and "75" (tying C10 1d red and 6d lilac to piece), the cut outs mainly single vertical types inc. "42 and "76". Also a few 'letter & number' types, GPO-rated "NW/7" on ½d green cut-out, two NPB types and 1d red imperf with BOW squared circle. Good lot.
