image NUMBER 2 ON ALBINO 1d PINK & NUMBER 12 ON SUNDAY COVER - Oct. 1843 1d pink (albino print: embossed only without pink ink, filing creases) to Maidstone cancelled with very fine strike of the No. 2 MX; and 4 June 1843 env. franked with three margin 1d red tied by No. 12 MX (unusual on a single 1d) and with red scalloped SUN[day] and BASINGSTOKE cds alongside and ringed red 'C' on the back for Charing Cross Sunday mail. image SCARCE NUMBER 4 - THE LAST DAY - 16 May 1844 legal-size E (partly split, creases) to Henley franked by 1d red strip of three, RH-RJ plate 40 each stamp with three margins, apparently paying the 1oz rate plus late fee (or possibly a 2oz rate with a missing stamp?), tied by No. 4 MXs.
