COVERS & PIECES - small group of covers inc. 1854 env. to GLASGOW (cds on the back, along with CULROSS, KINCARDINE & STIRLING) with four margin 1d red, 1854 E to Glasgow with fine C1 pair, FC-FD plate R6, tied by "DUKE STREET" Scots local, and 1857 reg. env. to Glasgow C10 strip of six plus a single tied by 90 numerals of CUMNOCK; a small group of pieces with MX cancelled 1d reds generally fine; then a group of mostly pieces with postmark interest, all are glued to small cards, inc. the scarce double-ringed LEEDS duplex, Scottish experimental duplexes, 1855 1d red late used with 1890 cancel, 1856 piece with C8 tied by Edin. roller 131 numeral, and 1d red plate 143 tied to 1871 piece by very rare GPO-rated 4VOS of Cardiff, and spoon cancel range (12, commoner types).
