(Qty 8 items)
2d grey Substituted Cliché ACSC 7(1)kb (SG 35a) with obvious wedge-shaped break in the L/H frame & with marginal vertical watermark line at left confirming that it is from the first column of the L/H pane, a couple of nibbled perfs, WA machine cancel just clear of the frame-break, Cat $2250 (£1900)
2½d deep blue TS Harrison Single-Line Imprint pair ACSC 11(1)ze, well centred for an imprint, unmounted, Cat $2000+ for a mounted pair. A rare imprint. Ex Peter O'Rourke: sold for $1785.
3d olive TS Harrison Imprint block of 4 from Plate I (no 'jubilee' lines in the gutter) ACSC 13(1)zd, unusually well centred especially for an imprint block, hinged in the margins with the upper units lightly mounted & the lower units unmounted, Cat $4250+ for a mounted block of 4. A rare block, and one of the best centred imprint blocks we have seen for any Kangaroo printing.
3d olive-green Plate 2 'JBC' Monogram pair ACSC 13(2)zc, very fresh with a minor hinge remainder, Cat $1300+ plus a significant premium for the scarce shade. Ex Peter O'Rourke: sold for $1010.
1/- blue-green Die IIB with the Watermark Sideways ACSC 33aa (SG 40ba) horizontal pair, contemporary Sydney parcels-roller cancel largely clear of the design, Cat $1000+++ (£800+++). This is a very scarce stamp postally used in-period so a pair is of some rarity: sold at the Prestige auction of 1.12.2007 for $757. [Most examples offered as 'used' have bogus or non-contemporary cancellations. We guarantee this pair is a genuine in-period usage]
2/- brown ACSC 37A (SG 41), excellent centring, a couple of faint bends, unmounted, Cat $2500 (£275 for mounted). Sold at the Prestige auction of 13.6.2009 for $1107.
10/- grey & deep 'aniline' pink ACSC 48B (SG 43a) marginal example from the top of the sheet, well centred, minor imperfections, unmounted, Cat $3000 (£500 for mounted).
10/- grey & pink with Double Print of the Frame punctured 'OS' ACSC 48c, unmounted, Cat $3000 for used; unpriced mint. Perfin Club of NZ & Australia Certificate (2021). Acquired at a Melbourne auction c.2010 for $5240. [The doubling is obvious in the upper margin & in the over-inking around 'AUSTRALIA/POSTAGE'. The ACSC states that this variety exists only on stamps punctured 'OS']
10/- grey & deep 'aniline' pink with the Kangaroo Misplaced Downwards into the Great Australian Bight ACSC 48cb, excellent centring, CTO with virtually full o.g. with the faintest evidence of having been mounted, Cat $5000. Superb!
10/- grey & bright pink (VLMtd), £1 brown & blue and £2 black & crimson, all CTO with 'GPO MELBOURNE/VIC' cds, the £1 & £2 are unmounted, Cat $11,250 for no gum (£5175 for used). A rare set, especially of this quality. (3)
£2 purple-black & rose ACSC 56C (SG 45b), well centred, superb part-'GYMPIE/4AP23/QUEENSLAND' cds, Cat $4500 (£2750). Superb! Postally used examples are much scarcer than mint or CTO stamps and should worth a large premium, especially this fine.
£2 purple-black & rose-carmine with Type C 'SPECIMEN' Overprint with Shaved 'P' ACSC 56xf, well centred, characteristic rough perfs, unmounted, Cat $1250+ for mounted.

Cat No: O51 var.
PUNCTURED 'OS': 10/- grey & deep 'aniline' pink with minor Setoff on the Gum ACSC 48Bvar (SG O51var), unmounted, Cat $3750+ (£1200+ for mounted). Perfin Club of NZ & Australia Certificate (2021). [We have been persuaded that 'setoff' is a more appropriate term than 'offset', which more correctly refers to a method of printing]
PUNCTURED 'OS': 10/- grey & deep 'aniline' pink with the Kangaroo Slightly Misplaced into Sea off WA, well centred, CTO with large-part o.g. [The displacement is not as pronounced as the listed variant ACSC 48cb, Cat $5000]
