½d green corner block of 6 (3x2) from the L/L of the R/H pane, small fault at the top of the second unit, the lower units are superb unmounted, Cat $150+.
1d red Die I with Plate Crack from First 'A' of 'AUSTRALIA' to the WA Coast ACSC 2(A)f, a few nibbled perfs at the base, very lightly cancelled, Cat $100 but much scarcer than the similar Big Crack on Plate G (Cat $750).
1d red Die II with Double Perfs at Sides (with evidence at the base), fault at L, Melbourne machine cancel, Cat $325. Michael Drury Certificate (2018).
1d red Die II with Minor Doubling (Kiss Print) most evident in 'ALI' of 'AUSTRALIA' & 'E' of 'POSTAGE', from the top of the sheet with marginal horizontal watermark line at the top, a few short perfs, very fine 'OUTTRIM/8MY13/[VIC]' cds clear of the affected area. Unlisted in the ACSC. Michael Drury Certificate (2018). [Outtrim was a mining town in Gippsland that supplied the Victorian Railways with coal for steam locomotives]
1d red Die II L/R corner 'block' of 18 (6x3) with Double Perfs in the margin at the base including the 'JBC' Monogram, the central row of 6 and the L/R corner single Officially Substituted with many of the characteristic repair tabs, some toning. A technically very interesting piece, even if it does appear to have been the last job on a Friday afternoon for an inebriated apprentice.
1d red Die IIA Plate G Cracked Electro Advanced State from Top of the Stamp to the Base ACSC 4(G)La, Cat $750. The famous 'Big Crack', the largest such flaw in the entire Kangaroo Series.
2d grey Plate 2 marginal block of 6 (2x3) from the right of the sheet [R23-24/29-30/35-36], the upper units are very well centred, light toning, the last unit VLM & the other five units are unmounted, Cat $1850+.
2d grey Plate 1 with Cut-Throat Kangaroo ACSC 5(1)j, two pulled perfs at U/R, very light machine cancel well clear of the variety, undercatalogued at $120. Michael Drury Certificate (2017). [This variety is not recorded by Greg Pope & was listed only for Second & Third Watermarks in the previous ACSC edition. It must have occurred very late in the First Wmk printings]
4d orange pair with 'GDCo' perfins (one inverted) plus Third Wmk 9d violet strip of 3 with 'GDCo/ A ' perfins, parcel cancels. Very scarce perfin multiples for Goode Durrant & Co (Perth) or Goode Durrant & Co (Adelaide).
(Qty 2 items)
5d chestnut Plate 2 with Grass Flaw by Kangaroo's Feet & White Spot at U/R Corner ACSC 16(2)e, tiny ink-mark on the face, very lightly mounted but partly suntanned gum, Cat $750.
6d ultramarine with Defective Second 'E' of 'PENCE' ACSC 17(1)e (SG unlisted), well centred, a couple of nibbled perfs, Sydney cds of DE10/13 well clear of the variety, Cat $2000.
6d blue with Retouched Second 'E' of 'PENCE' ACSC 17(1)j (SG 9a) with marginal vertical watermark line at R, short perf at L/R, hinge remainders, Cat $4000 (£2500). Chris Ceremuga Certificate (2010).
1/- emerald with the Watermark Inverted CTO with Melbourne cds of DE3/13 ACSC 30wb (SG 11w) horizontal strip of 3, the first unit with a light crease, full unmounted o.g., Cat $300++ (£240+). Scarce multiple.
1/- deep blue-green with the Watermark Inverted ACSC 30a (SG 11w), 5mm horizontal crease at centre-left, 'SWAN HILL/-6JA14/VIC' cds, Cat $500 for postally used (£80, for CTO). Much scarcer than CTO examples (Cat $100) and, in our opinion, significantly undervalued.
PUNCTURED LARGE 'OS': ½d green to 9d violet SG O1-9, variable centring, some minor blemishes & hinge remainders, Cat £1950+ ($4000+). Not expertised so necessarily offered 'as is'.
(Qty 9)

PUNCTURED SMALL 'OS': 1d red Die IIA ACSC 4ba (SG O2d var) block of 4 from the base of the sheet with marginal watermark line at the base, a couple of minor bends, unmounted, Cat $900+ for unmounted (£192++ for Die II mounted) singles. [NB: Gibbons don't list Die IIA in the Small 'OS' issue]
