image 1939-48 High Value Defin collection written up on leaves in protectors of stamps (SG.476/478c) and covers with single & mixed frankings incl. 1945 parcel tag franked ½d, 4d, 1s, 5s & 10s ultramarine (5) cancelled 'London F.S' 12th July 1945, 1939 2/6d brown used on envelope to Hertford, tied London wavy lines 5th Sept (2nd day of issue), 1940 reg airmail cover London to Nicosia, Cyprus, franked KEVIII ½d + 2½d & 2/6d brown, tied registered oval d/stamps, obverse Cyprus double ring No. 4 censor mark in red, reverse Nicosia receiver. 1945 registered airmail cover London to Eugene, Oregon, USA, franked 3d + 2/6d brown (pair), tied by violet registered hooded c.d.s's, obverse bears cachet 'Passed by British Philatelic Assoc' and signed by Winnie Worsell, red censor, reverse 'NO DUTY' label & transit/arrival marks. 1941 censored express cover London to Melbourne routed via North Atlantic & Trans Pacific Air Service, franked 6d, 1s (3), 5s & 2/6d brown (4), bears censor, express & airmail labels (some creasing), 1941 registered airmail cover Wimbledon to Rio, Brazil via Miami & San Juan. 1944 cover to PAI (Persia & Iraq Command), franked 2/6d green, 1945 Fulham to Rio, Brazil, franked 3d + 2/6d green, bears propaganda label 'Justice for Poland,' 1941 reg censored cover Bradford to Cuba franked 6d + 5s (Perfin H LD = Henry & Co Ltd, Bradford) routed via New York by North Atlantic Air Service, 1942 censored cover Liverpool to Buenos Aires franked 3d, 6d (2) & 10s dark blue. Amongst the stamps we note a number of U multiples incl. 10s dark blue block of ten & block of 19, and a number of varieties and a few Perfins. Useful lot, inspection recommended.
