EXTENSIVE KEVIII COVER COLLECTION: Binder housing the collection of KEVIII covers inc. FDCs, Abdication Day covers, Air Mail covers, Wedding Day covers, various commemorative covers, etc. Includes plain FDCs (1 & 14 Sep.) with King Edward, Banff cancels, illustrated (Westminster Stamp Co.) FDCs, other cancels inc. Kingstanding, Windsor, Buckingham Gate, etc. Selection includes a plain cover bearing all 4 values cancelled by Knebworth 1 Sep. 1936 c.d.s (13 days before issue date of the 1d value!) so possibly faked cancel or back dated cancel 'by favour'. Also 16 Nov. 1932 cover commemorating Official Opening of Stormont by H.R.H. Prince of Wales. Lot also includes 10 Dec. 1936 Abdication Day covers and a range of Air Mail covers inc. First Flights; several covers franked with the green "Poached Egg" test stamp and a group of used and unused Telegraph forms plus scarce 'meter mark' covers completes the lot.
