image 1913 '1d BLUE' GERMAN PRINTER'S TRIAL: Unusual trial printing of 1d stamp in deep blue, imperforate, gummed and with 'wavy line' wmk. (similar to early types of Bavaria). Design shows profile of KEVII and measures approx. 20mm x 25mm. Ex sheets of 25 by Bruckmann of Munich in 1913 as a sample in the hope of tendering for Post Office contracts.
