image 1885. Indian postal stationery envelope 'Half Anna' green (front) upgraded with SG 69, 4a green tied by 'R E-4' date stamp '27th Dec 85' and 'R' obliterator, addressed to England. Scarce 'Experimental Post Office / R. 4' from an unknown office. Very little is known about these scarce marks. lllustrated in Proud, unique example. (Image)

1900-1921 CHINA EXPEDITIONARY FORCE: Mint and used collection of the Indian stamps optd. "C.E.F." plus postal stationery items and covers, with a more than complete mint collection including the unissued QV 1a.6p. sepia (top right corner stamp, mint never hinged), varieties like QV 3a. with double ovpt. (one albino), colour shades etc. up to KGV. 1r., plus more than 70 used stamps (canc. with various F.P.O. or Base P.O. datestamps), a picture postcard (Peking scene, endorsed in m/s "The Dowager Empress' funeral took place today. 9.11.09") to England, several postal stationery cards and envelopes (fine unused or c.t.o.) and others.
