image 1872 (28 AP) cover from Bombay to Goa, correctly franked by 1865 ½a pale blue (unobtrusive defect at foot) in combination with Portuguese India 1871-73 20r vermillion, die II, on stout wove (SG12), tied together by very fine Bombay "SW/2" duplex with violet Margao cds and faint "TOO LATE" H/S alongside. Backstamped at Sawantwaree (MY 1) and Pangim (2.5). A very neat and attractive usage, far above average despite minor envelope faults, with 20r rare on cover. [N.B. The India ½a prepaid postage to Goa, the Portuguese India 20r prepaid the local delivery charge.] SG.55 (Image)
