1845-70 MISPERF, POSSIBLE FRAUD, STAMP ATTACHED BY SEAL WAX GROUP OF COVERS: 1845 EL used in London with 1d Red imperf cut heavily into on the two lateral sides such that reuse is a possibility; 1854 London env. with C1 1d Red perfed very low leaving marginal inscription on the stamp (spike hole affects stamp); 1855/70 Es (2, inc. with missing flap) with C4 1d Red or 1864 1d Red plate each with vert. perfs in centre of the stamp and so separated from the sheet leaving imperf sides, the 1870 then split in two pieces with one side being placed on the env. inverted; and 1851/52 Irish env./EL with 1d Reds attached by sealing wax (2, inc. with "Cahirconlish/Pallas Green" on the back.) 1846-79 COVERS WITH STAMP FOLDED OVER OR REDIRECTED: July 1848 env. with Wright and Goodes advert. under the flap used from London to Brighton with 1d Red folded over, and tied, possibly as an Irish protest to cover The Queen's portrait, plus off-cover 1/- Green embossed treated the similarly. Plus 1846/1879 redirected envs. (2) each with a second stamp placed neatly over the original (top stamp with corner folded back for display) the 1846 with STANDISH, WIGAN, BERKHEMPSTEAD (2) and London udc/cds, the 1879 with 'Rotunda Organ Works' advert on the flap.
