'The Australian Airmail Catalogue' (2008), 'Australian Air Mail Labels and Vignettes 1920-1960' (2003) and 'The Ross Smith Stamp & Its Postal History' (2011) all by Tom Frommer, soft-bound.

1914 (July 16) Maurice Guillaux promotional postcard numbered '1871' featuring aviator & plane and advertising Shell Benzine, flown Melbourne to Sydney with message dated "Thursday Morning/Nine O'Clock/16th July", franked with Kangaroos ½d green tied 'AUSTRALIAN/MELBOURNE/16-JUL-1914/VIC/AERIAL MAIL' oval d/s in violet plus another fine strike alongside and 2½d blue tied by apparently the same d/s unusually struck in black, 'SYDNEY / 330P 18JL14 / 64' arrival cds, AAMC #3 $750, minor creasing & edge faults. The AAMC does not mention the d/s - called a 'cachet' - struck in any colour other than violet, and this is the first instance we have seen of it struck in black. M Guillaux departed Melbourne at 9.12am on 16.7.1914 and arrived in Sydney at 2.50pm on 18.7.1914.
1914 illustrated postcard for Maurice Guillaux's Melbourne-Sydney flight AAMC #3, sent unstamped with the Melbourne oval flight d/s of 16-JUL-1914 in violet & 'T2D'-in-oval h/s, Sydney arrival cds of 18JL14 partly obscured by Postage Due 1d x2 that were not cancelled, the only unpaid example we have seen that was definitely carried by Guillaux and thus the only example with Postage Dues, somewhat the worse for wear but quite presentable. [The card is also unusual for being addressed back to Victoria, to Ballarat]
1929 (Nov 12) Ross Smith England to Australia Flight Tenth Anniversary real photo postcard showing brothers Ross & Keith Smith, the plane and a cover carried on the flight with 'Ross Smith Vignette' signed Keith Smith on view side, sent to Australia with Great Britain KGV 1d red tied 'HOUNSLOW/12NO/29/MIDDLESEX' cds, forwarded on arrival with KGV 1d green affixed alongside tied Melbourne machine cancel, AAMC #145c $200.
1931 (May 8) Batavia-Australia cover with 6 different stamps & the commemorative flight d/s plus green & black/white R label, Melbourne transit b/s of 19MY31, minor problems. [See also Lot 294957]
1931 (May) First Bass Strait Flights between Hobart-Melbourne & Launceston-Melbourne and both return legs, each 207x147mm & hand-illustrated and each with KSmith set + 3d Airmail and registered, minor blemishes.

1934 (July 2) 'Faith in Australia' promotional postcard featuring the plane & crew with CTP Ulm, GU Allan & RM Boulton autographs originally carried to New Zealand on the 3.12.1933 flight, here carried on the return flight to Australia with New Zealand Airmail 7d tied Wellington '21JE34' cds, violet flight cachet 'JUN.1934' and 'KAITAIA/2JL34' cds alongside, AAMC #389b $350. The AAMC states at p.68 "100 of the cards were retained by Ulm and flown on the return flight to Australia".
1934 (Oct 2) Perth-Daly Waters-Sydney registered with 3d Kooka & 6d Kooka cancelled at Perth and t/- Large Lyrebird overprinted 'OS' (a scarce albeit philatelic franking) cancelled in transit at 'DALY WATERS/NA'.
1934 (Dec 8) Qantas/Imperial Australia-England with KGV 1d & 1/4d + Large Lyrebird 1/-, registered to Norway off-loaded at Athens with an array of b/s including 'TELEGRAPH OFFICE/GPO MELBOURNE' & Norwegian 'BUREAU AMB OSLO-ED' TPO, boxed 'Ikke avhentet/Non reclamé' h/s in violet & superb 'RETUR' h/s on the face.
1937 (Apr 20) Australia-Hong Kong-USA per PanAm FAM-14 from Hong Kong with ANZAC 1/- pair & No Watermark Hermes 1/6d pair tied by a magnificent strike of the China Clipper cachet in blue. [The rate was 4/8d + 3d registration + 1d late fee = 5/-]
1938 (Aug 8) inaugural EAMS cover with KGVI 2d & 3d plus GB 1½d all tied by Melbourne slogan cancel, to London with Return to Sender cachets on both side, a few minor tonespots. A most unusual prepayment of the British airmail fee for return to Australia.
1946 (Sep 15) Australia-Canada with Lyrebird 1/-, KGVI 1/4d & Hermes 1/6d tied by Sydney cds, boxed 'UNDELIVERED MAIL/Vancouver BC' in purple & Ottawa DLO cds in red, returned to the sender. Very attractive.
