Falkland Islands Dependencies: South Georgia: 1915 (May 24) envelope from South Georgia to Tønsberg franked 1/2d. and 2d. to pay foreign rate, tied by individual SG1 c.d.s.’s and with July 30 machine arrival on reverse. This slow delivery was due to having been despatched in the ‘out of season’ whaling winter. Once all whaling vessels had left South Georgia for Europe at the end of the season no mail would be despatched until the return of ships at the beginning of the next season. Ex Barton and Cottis.
