Great Britain Vectis Postal Service,Private Post Covers (3), during Postal Workers Strike of 1971, VF, addr via label, consisting of (2) FDC's (23 JAN 1971) for first printing and (16 FEB 1971) for second printing. Third cover is Last Day of Service event cover with cds "VECTIS POSTAL/I.O.W./6MAR/1971/SERVICE", with both stamps franking cover. All have identical "ISLE OF WIGHT" cachets. The Royal Mail workers strike commenced Jan. 20, 1971 and ceased Mar. 7, 1971 with employees returning to work March 8, 1971 (Image)
