Cat No: 127-138
1933 Centenary of British Administration ½d to £1 SG 127-138 punctured Horseshoe 'SPECIMEN', well centred & extremely fresh with bright colours, full unmounted o.g., Cat £4250+ for mounted. Superb! [Much scarcer than the basic set, that is priced the same by Gibbons. Only 473 specimen sets were prepared, of which most that survive are institutionalised. Of the relatively few sets in private hands, this is surely one of the finest. A mounted set - the £1 with short perfs - recently sold at another Australian auction for $3886]
