1903 (c.) Widow's Weeds ½d green HG KB6 uprated with ½d of the same design tied by Maryborough duplex of DE7/03 & unsealed, Brisbane b/s. Rare. [Alan Griffiths at page 108 states the date os 8DE/03, which is an error. He also considers that this "may well represent the actual date of issue". But there is no evidence to support that conjecture. However, his points are well-made about the printed matter rate being 1d per 2oz at this time, and that therefore there was no use for a ½d Envelope]
