Postmarks on covers & postcards from Colonial period to 1940s with some WWII censored mail and a few later, mostly from larger towns including duplex cancels and numeral ties, lots of postal history interest noted 'MONEY ORDER OFFICE/SYDNEY' 1865 oval in red inside folded OHMS circular, 1906 inwards from New Zealand with 1d Universal tied Sydney cds and 'LOOSE SHIP/LETTER' oval h/s, 1909 PPC and 1910 cover each with 'POSTED/OUT OF COURSE' boxed h/s, a range of KGV Heads frankings, also registered mail, advertising covers, taxed items, used postal stationery & picture postcards including a few real photo types, plus a range of Sydney numbered & special usage datestamps mostly on piece, condition variable but many are fine to very fine. Extensive collection on leaves 'ABERCORN' to 'ZILLMERE' with numerous closed offices represented, some pre-1913 & Kangaroos material including 'STOCK EXCHANGE' & superb 'WOOLOOGA/13FE12/QUEENSLAND' (rated RRRR by Bernie Manning), strength on KGV Heads especially in the 1930s with lots of duplication, plus some from the KGVI & QEII pre-decimal period, a high percentage are part-strikes on single stamps with many better including fine to very fine 'BARRINE', 'BOODUA', 'BULONGA', largely-superb 'BUNERU' (rated RRRRR), 'ELLINTHORP', 'GOOVIGAN' error, 'HUMPHERY' error, 'MOOGERAH DAM/QLD-AUST', 'MT COLLIERY', very fine 'MT TARAMPA' (RRRR), 'NETHERBY RO', fine large-part 'PLAINBY' (RRRRR) in blue & '[SO]MARIVA', some record dates noted. Extensive accumulation of Commonwealth-era datestamps from KGV-period to modern set out in 17 stockbooks with space for each Post Office and CDS type, although rather sparsely filled there are plenty of pickings throughout, then 1000s more cancels in further stockbooks, on filecards and loose, also two volumes of nicely written-up A-Z collection mostly on KGV 2d red on piece, four binders of Post Office images, photographs & ephemera, condition & quality of strikes variable but many are fine to very fine.
