image EARLY LETTERS - EX HEMSWORTH (DRONFIELD) BY POST & EX HULLAND BY CARRIER; 7 May 1672 EL from "Hemsworth" to London (with a second letter on the same sheet from the sender's son in "Sheffield") charged "3[d]" with a partly fine "MA/10" arrival Bishop Mark on the flap. Plus 12 Nov. 1675 EL from "Hulland" (Near Ashbourne" sent by carrier to "Woodburrow in Nottinghamshire" endorsed on the front "Leave this letter at the Signe of the Blackamore's Head in Nott[ingham] to be sent as aforesaid".
