1881 Cover from Kimberley to Lehnin, Brandenburg, Germany via Cape Town and London, franked by eight 1d. carmine-red tied by oval numeral "227", circled "KIMBERLEY/JY 7/1881" despatch c.d.s. alongside, and on the reverse with transit dater and boxed "LEHNIN/5 8 8-12N" arrival datestamp. Cover and some perf tips stained, and minor (corner) imperfections, but still a good cover and a most attractive franking.
