Spoons. 1854-63 Entire letters (2) and covers (5) with English spoon cancels including 1854 (Feb 25) Plymouth spoon tying an imperf 1d red to entire (an early use, in first period of use); 1857 Birmingham spoon tying 6d + 1d pair on cover to Germany with "INSUFFICIENTLY / STAMPED"; 1863 Northampton spoon tying 1d + 2d + 6d on cover to New Zealand; 1860 Manchester type B spoon tying 1d red on Prices Current to Switzerland, with red handstruck "5"; also York, Worcester, etc. A fine group with some unusual uses on covers to abroad.
