image 1908 (14 October) Three covers all bearing manuscript "Pd ¼d, W.G. McC" and used on the same day to local Georgetown addresses, each addressed in different hand writing styles. Each of the Provisionals handwriting in a different shade of ink, one starts "Pd" in black ink before switching to the normal red ink, another has a magenta shade, while the last is a pale pink shade, fine selection, SG MP2 (3 items) (Image)

image 1908 (15 October) Rare type 5 manuscript provisional "Paid ¼, G.A.P.,asst." in brackets on neat and with Georgetown cds alongside; vertical fold at centre. Very rare, being one of only two examples recorded.  The initials are those of Miss Gwendoline Angeline Parsons, one time postmistress. She resigned on 1 October 1908 and became assistant to the new postmaster, Mr. McCausland. Ex Marston III, Cooley, Byl, very fine, exhibition quality (Image)
