8: '8' of Dandenong, three fair to largely very fine strikes on Queen-on-Throne 2d re-joined horizontal pair 'FL-GM' Stone 7 Pane 2 Pos [31-32], margins good to large. Rated RRRR. PO 1.7.1848. [Freeman & White state "On Gippsland road. Purves reported eight examples ... all in black ink"]
9: '9' of Flooding Creek/Sale, light but clear virtually complete strike on Half-Lengths 2d on small piece, margins good to touching. Rated RRR. PO 30.9.1848; renamed 1.1.1854.
10: '10' of Alberton, largely very fine complete strike on Half-Lengths 1d, margins good to close. Rated RRR. PO 1.7.1843; renamed Port Albert 1.1.1856. [Gippsland; 14km S of Yarram]
36: '36' of Lake Wallace, largely fine complete strike in blue on Half-Lengths 2d, margins good to close, two horizontal creases & minor thins. Rated RRR. PO 1.3.1849; replaced by Apsley 1.1.1854. A substantially more legible strike than that illustrated in Freeman & White, who do not mention any coloured strikes recorded. [Mallee; Apsley is 20km WNW of Edenhope, which is at the site of Lake Wallace]
