1852, 4c black on deep blue with full to wide margins all around, the blue colour of the chalk surfaced paper is like usual for this issue rubbed. The stamp is in fine condition and cancelled by "DEMERARA JA 2 1852" cds which is the EARLIEST RECORDED DATE FOR THE 1852 SAILING SHIP ISSUE. UNIQUE AND ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT ITEMS OF THIS ISSUE.
