image Collection on a few hundred leaves with range of types including duplex cancels, noted '116', '137', '186', '231', '256' and '289' Bars Removed (all rated RR) plus slightly oily strike of 'MCCC/95' (RRR), a few mis-described and some NSW/Qld 'interlopers', also covers with numeral ties including '473' of Piggoreet on 1875 three-colour franking cover to the Isle of Wight, '742' (R) with 'KOLORA' cds on 1906 envelope and 'MC/91' (R) superb strike alongside 'BOURKE STREET EAST' cds on 1d wrapper, 1871 to Sydney with Laureate 3d orange tied by slightly-unclear strike of '48' (First Type; Rated RR) and largely fine strike of 'HAWTHORNE/MY23/71/VICTORIA' unframed b/s (24½mm; ERD), 1885 with 1d green 'solo' for printed matter, 1889 to Scotland with 'ENGLISH MAIL TPO' duplex b/s, 1894 1d Letter Card with 'UNCLAIMED AT/ BALLAARAT EAST' h/s, a few advertising covers & PPCs, destinations including Finland, Greece, etc, also other postal stationery including 1890 usage of 3d 'Via Italy' postal card (some adhesion on back), Stamped To Order envelopes for John Cook (Wine & Spirit Merchant), Shire of Upper Yarra, Shire of St Arnaud, etc, 1894 wrapper with 'The Romsey Examiner' heading, etc, condition quite variable. image 253: First Type Original State '253' with bars of Framlingham very fine strike on Beaded Oval 4d pink (tonespots). Rated RRRRR. [Until 1916, Framlingham was the site of an Aboriginal Mission Station.] A nice bonus for our vendor, who had no idea this was hiding in plain sight in one of his stockbooks.
