Duntroon (1): 'DUNTROON/6JA19/AUSTRALIA' cds, two complete & almost very fine strikes on KGV 1d red 'Star' envelope sent to England with KGV ½d green added to pay the 1d Empire letter rate plus ½d war tax introduced on 28.10.1918, a little discoloured mostly along the top edge which is not unusual for this war-time stock. PO 1.9.1917; closed 31.12.1930. [The cds is recorded 1918-22 only, and later re-cut to read 'F.C.T.' at base; located at Duntroon Military College]
