Occupation Forces in Japan 1946 plain cover to Sydney, franked NZ ½d-1/- Peace set of 11, canc 7 (deliberately) very partial strikes of cds "No. 8 AUST BASE P.O. C" 9 AP 46. On back, fine complete strike of the same cds (used at Kure, Japan 1946-49). The NZPO specially flew supplies of the new Peace stamps to Japan for use by the troops on 1st April 1946 FDCs.
