DOUG WALTERS: Australian 'Baggy Green' Test Cap, green wool, embroidered Coat-of-Arms and '1968' on front, signed inside "Doug Walters", fine condition. {Doug Walters, one of Australia's most popular cricketers, played 75 Tests 1965-81. He scored more than 1000 runs in his first 11 Tests, including centuries in his first two Tests, against England in 1965-66. On the 1968 Ashes tour he scored 343 runs at an average of 38.11. When he retired in 1981, only three Australians had made more Test runs - Greg Chappell, Don Bradman & Neil Harvey. The pleasure he brought to the crowds, especially at his home ground the SCG, has been recognised with the naming of 'The Doug Walters Stand'}. (Image1)
