QV-KGV INDIA USED IN ADEN, 1888-1940 INCL. RARE MAALLA & SHEIKH OTHMAN CANCELS: The collection of stamps and covers neatly typed up on album leaves primarily illustrating the use of Aden/Aden Camp circular cancels incl. Proud "Aden" types KD 21, 23, 24 etc., and "Aden Camp" KD 13, 14, etc Also represented are Parcel and Registered cancels incl. Proud PP 2, PP 3, R 11 & HH 28, etc. Further ranges of the various KGV types, along with several examples of QV & KEVII transit/back stamps. We note a superb example of the rare Maalla delivery cancel on piece alongside 1a KGV Official cancelled by Aden Camp type KD 16. Also 2 examples (QV & KGV) of stamps cancelled with the scarce Sheikh-Othman c.d.s. Several attractive covers accompany the collection incl. Regd. and PPCs with Sea-Post cancels. A good lot. PERIM ISLAND: Small collection incl. a few stamps and covers associated with Perim Island coaling station. Includes group of 5 KGV India issues with Perim cancels, 9 Nov. 1921 cover franked 4 x India ½a with Proud D1 cancel (last week of usage, damaged 1935 cover from Port Sudan to Perim with Shellal-Halfa TPO mark and Cairo cancel indicating conveyance via the Suez Canal to Perim. Also a 12 Dec 1928 cover (with contents) ex Dublin to South Wales Borderers Aden Garrison and a local cover bearing KGV India 2a cancelled last day of Indian Administration - 31 Mar. 1937.
