1840 2d blue Plate 2 SK with close to good margins and tied to 1842 envelope addressed to 'His Grace the Duke of Wellington K.G. Piccadilly, London, redirected to Walmer Castle, Dover with the addition of 1841 2d Plate 3 JE with margins almost all around and cancelled with a black MC, envelope is a little crumpled with a couple of small tears at top nevertheless a rare combination, b/stamps incl. despatch & receiving d/stamps. Noted - three similar covers from the same correspondence were sold in Grosvenor auction, sale 41 & 45. (Image)
