1840 May 19th One Penny Letter Sheet from Berwick to London, cancelled by a boldly struck red MC addressed to the Earl of Tankerville at Hanover Sq, obverse bears manuscript endorsement 'Langhorns Letters 1840' & numeral '3' presumably added by the Earl to identify the contents, sender & correspondence sequence, reverse with despatch & receiving d/stamp for 19th & 21st May, some creasing & wear, still rather attractive.
