image PLATE 4 - ON COVER REF. AND POSSIBLY ADDRESSED BY CHARLOTTE BRONTË - 19 May 1841 EL (splits and generally fragile condition) used locally in Leeds with four margin 1d black just tied by black Leeds special MX, YEADON udc (possibly enhanced) on the front and LEEDS cds on the flap. Letter is written by the 7 year old Jasper Leavens White, a pupil of Charlotte Brontë at this time, who mentions Brontë extending her respects to the addressee; this leaves open the possibility the letter was addressed by Charlotte herself!
