V Minor soiling, but scarce this fine; 16 Sep. 1911 deep green env. from Windsor to London bearing 1d tied by a fine Die 2 c.d.s. A card of the same colour to Kingston on Thames with a ½d tied by a fine Die 2 c.d.s. of Windsor. Some faults but very collectable examples. Scarce as only 18 covers flown; Christmas day 1954 OHBMS env. registered from London to Florida with a fine strike of the violet boxed "SALVAGED MAIL/AIRCRAFT CRASH/PRESTWICK 25-12-54" h.s. image 1913 THE FIRST FLIGHT OF GOODS BY AIR BY SINCLAIR TOBACCO CO - A UNIQUE ESSAY TIN:1913 A small tin (70 x 70cm) being an essay design for those carried by Charles Hucks on the 1st commercial cargo flight. The tin with "This Package of Robert Sinclair's/MICA MIXTURE/was delivered from/NEWCASTLE by the first/delivery by AEROPLANE" and "Aviator Pilot - CYRIL FOGGIN" With "Sample" scratched in two places on the lid which add to the history of the item. It is interesting to note that Cyril Foggin was changed to Charles Hucks a more famous pilot for the actual flight. (Image)

Five envs. flown on the Zucker rocket trials on the Sussex Downs, each with the special cancel and a different colour vignette. Also 1934 Western Rocket Post unused marginal pair of red vignettes, one with green "ISLE OF WIGHT". A scarce overprint trial.
