image NUREMBERG RALLIES: c.1935-1938 collection of cards & covers displaying a range of different frankings and variations of the special Nuremberg Rally handstamps & rollers. A selection of Postcards by H. Hoffmann, Bruno Panzer, Mjolnir, Zerreis & Co., etc. We note 1935 card with the special 6pf & 12pf Rally stamps, the 12pf being variety Mi Nr. 587 XI (less shading on eagle's head) with Schlegel Cert. Also, 11 Sep. 1937 6pf Postal Stationery card uprated to 15pf addressed to Manchester, having a Gau Sachsen cancel type II used on one of the two postal coaches accompanying the march from Hof to Nuremberg, alongside an unofficial acceptance cachet in green; 1936 Hoffmann card franked with the 2 specially issued Rally stamps and having unofficial acceptance cachet in violet applied at the temporary Stadium Post Office. Lot includes several printed commercial covers with Rally cancels incl. a rare example advertising "Der Sturmer", an anti-Semitic publication of Julius Streicher. (30 cards/covers) (Image)

image NUREMBERG RALLIES - TWO SCARCE ITEMS: 23 Aug. 1938 Registered cover to Berlin from the Party Office responsible for Rally Organisation in Nuremberg. Franked with Nuremberg Rally official meter mark and sent via Nuremberg No. 2 Post Office. Possibly only 2 or 3 such covers have been recorded. Lot also includes a folded map showing a plan of the city with transport routes and bus/train timetables for the 1938 Rally. Very fine condition. (Image)
