OCT. 14. " over Hong Kong to China, three sided opened. An especially attractive and extremely rare commercial letter with the destination China. A Top-rarity of this area and probable unique! 2 1/2 d. auf 20 Pfg. violettultramarin, farbfrisch und tadellos als portogerechte Einzelfrankatur auf sehr schönem, bedarfsmäßig verwendetem Rotbandbrief im ersten Kriegsjahr 1914 verwendet von "APIA" mit rückseitigem Transitstempel "SYDNEY 17.OCT.14." über Hongkong nach China, dreiseitig geöffnet. Censored letter on the ELLICE islands: 2 1/2 d. On 20 Pfg. Violet ultramarine, properly franked multiple franking of three copies, as well the right value with overprint error "1 in the indication of value left shifted" on especially attractive commercially used registered cover with provisional registered note and single circle postmark "APIA 22. JL. 16. " and violet censorship stamp "PASSED BY CENSOR. 2 G. R. I. SAMOA" sent to Funafuti/Ellice Islands and forwarded to Tarawa/Gilbert Islands. There was the letter delivery not possible and was going over Sydney again return. He carries various transit and arrival postmark. A fantastic, commercially used registered return envelope from the time of the British occupation!
ZENSURBRIEF AUF DIE ELLICE-INSELN: 2 1/2 d. auf 20 Pfg. violettultramarin, portogerechte Mehrfachfrankatur von drei Exemplaren, dabei der rechte Wert mit Aufdruckfehler "1 IN DER WERTANGABE NACH LINKS VERSETZT" auf besonders attraktivem bedarfsmäßig verwendetem Einschreibebrief mit provisorischem Einschreibevermerk und K1 "APIA 22.JL.16." und violettem Zensurstempel "PASSED BY CENSOR. 2 G.R.I.SAMOA" gesandt nach Funafuti/Ellice Islands und nachgesandt nach Tarawa/Gilbert Islands. Dort war der Brief unzustellbar und ging über Sydney wieder zurück. Er trägt verschiedene Transit- und Ankunftsstempel. Ein phantastischer, bedarfsmäßig verwendeter Einschreibe-Retourbrief aus der Zeit der Britischen Besetzung! (Image)
